Somehow, I lost the ability to compose a good note. It has been many weeks that I promised Kak Amy & Mariam that I will send out a note on the project for Ramadhan. However, the words did not come easily...

Perhaps, there were too many things that I wanted to share with all of you about the children..

Of their sweetness..their battle... their honesty.. and also their sincerity in allowing a stranger like me to enter their life..

Oh... how I wish I can discribe it as detail as possible to you of how happy the children were when we handed them the "Bag Of Love" in Ramadhan last year.It was a total of 100 goody bags to two oncology wards (UMMC and UKMMC). The children were smilling when we handed it to them.. and when they saw that they were also Eid cards from Pak Nil and Ms. Deanna Yusoff, their faces were full of happiness.

InsyaAllah, this year.. we will be sending them " Package Of Love" in this Ramadhan. Similar to last year, we will be sending goody bags to oncology wards of UKMMC and UMMC. And also.. we wil also be sending to HKL for the first time ! Alhamdulillah... :)

We hope.. the "Package Of Love" will be able to bring smiles to their sweet, lovely faces... insyaAllah.....

Footprints In The Heart

It was 3 years ago when I first met him.It was at Oncology Paediatric Ward at HUKM. He was sitting quietly while accompanying the younger kids playing at the tv corner. Somehow in my heart I knew, I must find out more about this child.

Hazim was a stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma patient when I first met him in April 2008. A smart, brave young boy, his love for his family touches my heart. Not only that, his courage in fighting the cancer was beyond words. In 2008, he was only 15 years old.

Hazim knew, his time was not long in this world. One day, while having tea with some of my friends ( I was not around ) .. he asked.. " Mati nanti macam mana...? " Everyone was shocked and not prepared when he asked. Then.. the baton was passed to me.

Honestly, I was not prepared either. But I knew, it was unfair to let him wandering about it. He needs to know and I truly understand, it was not easy for a mother to explain it to the son, whom she loves very much.Hazim's mother gave me the permission to talk to him. Therefore.. during the camping trip that we arranged for Hazim, I had a long discussion with him talking about death. After we finished talking about it, he kissed my hand and said..." Terima kasih Auntie.."

Hazim always put others before him. Being the eldest son, he was very responsible. I called him.. the Financial Controller :) .

He brought many of us together, Subhanallah. Family, friends and strangers (who are now friends) are bonded by love for Hazim. May Allah SWT bless you all...

I met Hazim for the last time at the hospital. It tore me apart seeing him in pain. However, I am very thankful to the Almighty for allowing me to see his last smile... to hear his last laughter .. and to hear his last voice..

I cried when I received the news ... at same time, I am relieved that he is no longer in pain.

Hazim left footprints in my heart. I think.. he did it to yours too...

Thank You Notes "Magical Moments - Talentime"

It has been 10 days since we had Magical Moments - Talentime. My sincerely apologies for the delay in posting this thank you note. Gomen ne.

Syukur alhamdulillah, it was indeed a day of joy, happiness and laughter. It was a day full of smiles.May 1 2011 was a day full of LOVE :)

Loving people from different walk of life, comes together for only one reason. For the children :)

Magical Moments - Talentime started as a self funded event. However, as the words spread, more people volunteering to help out in many ways i.e. sponsorship, ideas, facilities, energy, time, resources, talent... believe me, it was like a day with soooooooo many beautiful people with beautful heart. May God bless you friends..

What is.. Magical Moments ?

MAGICAL MOMENTS

1.Introduction
Magical Moments is a series of event, planned for children who are facing challenges in life. A collaboration act between Project Mata Hati & Wishing Well Programme, meant to bring joy, hope and happiness for the children... InsyaAllah.

The pilot program will be Talentime ( Singing Contest )

2.Overall Objective
To give a moment of happiness, joy and hope to children who are facing challenges in life. It is also to instill confidence and positive thought in the children, for them to know that challenges in life are not a stoppage in being happy and successful.

3.Talentime Objective
As an avenue for the children to build up confidence in themselves by performing in front of audience, without taking into account of their challenges that they are facing daily.

4.Target Group
Pilot group will be childhood cancer patients, visually impaired children ( SMPK Setapak) and orphans/under privileged children from RACTAR ( Rumah Amal Sri Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah)

5.Frequency of Magical Moments
Expecting to be done on bi-monthly basis.

InsyaAllah.. hopefully.... this small event.. will bring the joy, hope and strength to them... :)

But..
For children facing challenges..
Their life is full of trials.. full of pain... full of sorrow..
Birthday parties to miss...Holidays to postpone..
Deep in their thought ... thinking where the road will lead them in the future..

Therefore, child being a child...
The happiness should be theirs...
Even for a few moment in their life...
Let them feel the warmth of the sun...
Let them be surrounded by the sweetness of joy..
Let them have... OUR LOVE...
In short...

Let's give them...

MAGICAL MOMENTS

That is why, Wishing Well Programme is coming out with this simple, yet insyaAllah meaningful project for children who are facing challenges in life.

A half day event, combining children with cancer, blind/visually impaired children as well as children from RACTAR ( Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah) . The event will be an activity for the children to participate, then followed by a combined birthday party for those who are celebrating. For a start... we will have a TALENT TIME !

This event is not by any NGO... it is just a small effort by us... who loves children :)

That was the first word that came to my mind, when was asked about the modus operandi of Project Mata Hati.

COMPLEMENT.

In summary, Project Mata Hati is about strategic partnership effort between corporates, NGOs and also professionals/individuals, based on the paper work that has been presented to each party.

It is about working together... roping in experts from each identified development programs (i.e. sports, IT, music, language, islamic and arts) Numbers of brain storming sessions, discussions over discussions, everyone pouring in their ideas and opinions based on what they know best.. and fyi..these processes, are still on going...

The beauty of this is....

All on voluntary basis :)

Academicians, corporates, NGOs, individuals, professionals... complementing each other for one reason...

For the benefit of the blind and visually impaired children...

In achieving their hope...their dream .... their goals in life...

InsyaAllah...

Love For The Children

Children are gift from Allah SWT. For us to nurture, to love and to care for. It does sound cliché, as these are the words I keep on using in almost every blog post or notes that I do. Well, that is how I feel, and I believe, you agreed with it too :)

Project Mata Hati is also another project dedicated for the children...children who are blind and visually impaired.

This is a collaborative effort organized by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Sek. Men Pendidikan Khas (Cacat Penglihatan) Setapak, supported by the management of the school and in collaboration with the place I am working with, under the ticket of CSR.

Even though it is under the ticket of a CSR effort of a department in a company, we are trying to get supports from individuals,corporates and NGOs to be involved in as well. Reason is, everyone are talented and expert at their own specialized field. Together, we can turn a glass into a crystal. As the saying goes.. two heads are better than one ! :)

We have identified 6 different category of development programs for the blind and visually impaired students. Those are

a) Music
b) IT
c) Religion ( Tahfiz & Quran Recital)
d) Creative Arts
e) Language & Public Speaking
f) Sports

It is all about the love for the children.... giving them the best that we can...for them to secure a better future... insyaAllah..

For those who have already been involved in this project, my sincere gratitude and appreciation for your time, energy and ideas. May Allah SWT bless you all...

For those who soon to join us, we welcome you with an open arm :)

The Luncheon Charity will be held on 26th February 2011, Saturday, at SMPK (Cacat Penglihatan) Setapak. Proceeds from the fundraising will be used to fund for the 6 development programs as well as some minor facilities upgrading.

Visionary Heart

The classroom was filled with 30 tables... lined up in 4 straight lines... apart from one another

On each table, there was a Perkin braille machine.

It was SPM week.

They sat for their Mathematics paper earlier that day. When asked how was the paper, they smiled and said " OK je :) "

In them... I see calmness, serenity and sincerity

In them... I see ambition, courage and hope

They are blind.. due to their sight, but..

They are very visionary... of what they want to be...

Beautiful Painting

If I could capture all memories I had with all the little heroes, and turn it into a painting...

Believe me, it will be a beautiful painting with lovely colours, just like the bright colours of rainbow after a thunderous storm.

Children are beautiful, in their own way. Their honesty, sincerity and truthfulness is something that... even we adults failed in sometimes.

Every child that Wishing Well Programme has been involved with are special at their own way.

Blind boys band belting out latest pop song, little girl singing her heart out entertaining all at the ward and young gentleman fighting each second in his life for he knows his mother need him most...

I have to admit, children always hold a special place in my heart. They are priceless gift from Allah SWT for us all. For us to nurture, to love and to care for.

There are many ways of caring and nurturing the children... regardless material or immaterial...

Most important thing of all, that little act of ours must be sealed with lots of love...

Since Wishing Well Programme started, we had delivered goody bags on 5 different occasions. The methodology applied in delivering the goody bags is very simple. To cheer them up while battling with the pain during festive seasons.. even for a few seconds...

This little act of ours gave priceless gift in return...

Power Of Love

Love makes one stronger. Makes one move forward. One step after another, stronger than before.

Adik Hazim is a fighter in his own battle. A brave young gentleman who does not own the word "Give Up" in his vocabulary.

He has been in and out of hospital countless time. Biopsy after biopsy, whilst chemotherapy and radiotherapy are not an option anymore. However, I could see in his eyes how strong he became when he is being surrounded by this special gift called...

LOVE.

Adik Hazim is one of many children that Wishing Well Programme has been involved with. Each and everyone of them are going through a difficult path every second, every minute and every hour...but in them, personally I see how strong the power of love is.

Love received from the parents, families, relatives, friends, strangers... and the most powerful of all... is the love from Him.

Let us all join our hands together, in giving as much love as we can to the children in need...

We had our childhood once, lets try our best to give them theirs too... even for a few moment...

A Brother's Wish

This boy is only 16. He is a non-hodgkin lymphoma patient, stage 4. His last wish is...to give his sister a computer.

It did not surprise me much when I knew he wanted a computer for his younger sister.

Because... he is always thinking of others... in every little thing he does...

Because... he loves his family very much... he wants the best for them...

InsyaAllah, the computer will be reaching him soon..thank you so much to all who have been assisting in making this happens...

As the proverb quoted above said... Thoughtfulness for others, generosity, modesty and self-respect are the qualities which make a real gentleman or lady...

This boy is a real gentlemen. A truly brave young gentlemen.

May Allah SWT give him the strength to go through every second, every minute, every hour....

Project " Goodies For Kiddies" - Delivery Day

Every step we take in this journey of life, lead us to meeting different individuals everyday. Different personalities, different characteristics .. and definitely different hearts.

Syukur Alhamdulillah, under His guidance and blessing... it is truly a priceless gift, to be connected with individuals of beautiful hearts. Individuals who are endlessly supporting, helping and assisting in their own ways in making Wishing Well Programme's projects materialized as planned.

Individuals who are now.. friends that I love and treasure very much :)

Yesterday, Alhamdulillah... all went well for Project " Goodies For Kiddies ". We went to UMMC and UKMMC paediatric oncology wards to distribute the goody bags, in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration. Parents and children said thank you very much to all donors and friends who have ben a part of this project.

We may not be able to take away the pain from them... but we may have managed to sprinkle a few seconds of happiness in them...insyaAllah...

Project Brailler - Seeing Through The Heart

When I first started Wishing Well Programme, it was with a purpose of giving moment of happiness and joy in life to the children in need.With personal experiences of volunteering with cancer related NGOs, childhood cancer children have been the main focus of Wishing Well Programme from the very beginning.

However, as time goes by, one thing lead to another. We got to know RACTAR ( Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah ), a home for orphans, poor and abandoned children, thus started a monthly programme with the girls beginning October last year. Syukur Alhamdulillah, this programme has been blessed with wonderful people, who without fail, keep on contributing in terms of energy, time, ideas and financial assistance . May Allah SWT bless you.

Today, I will kick off a new project for a new beneficiary. It is called " Project Brailler - Seeing Through The Heart". The plan is simple. It is to purchase brailler machines for the blind students who will be taking SPM this year. 1 machine cost about RM2,100.00. God willing, I am targeting to purchase 2 machines.

Hopefully, we will be able to assist them in pursuing their dream, InsyaAllah...

We had our days being a student once, sat for major examinations, further our studies and be where we are right now.. Let us join our hands together assisting these lovely children going for their dream, their hope and their future

Heart Of Gold

It is a very heartfelt experience seeing people from different walk of life coming together in bringing happiness to those in need. Again, last Sunday was a day of joyful moment. It was an event organized by a hospital for the Thalassemia patients.

What impressed me most is seeing the commitments given by the artistes and personnel from ASTRO. Arrangements were done purely through e mails and text messages. My bad was that... I did not explain in detail of how the event will be. All I said was.. " See you guys at 12 noon ". Regardless the hiccups I did, Zahid, Toy, Edlin, Akma and Yazer gave a lovely unplugged performance to the patients and families. Through their gestures and smiles, I know it came from their heart. Heart of Gold.

I used to write that, I do not cry in front of the patients or families. No matter how bad the situation they are facing, how painful the child is battling with, shedding tears is a no, no to me.

However, last Sunday I could not stop a few drops of tears from flowing down...

Rest assure.. it was not due to sadness.. I was overwhelmed seeing the event being flooded by people with hearts of gold....

Thank you so much to See Bee, Zahid, Toy, Yazer, Edlin and Akma... you guys are marvelous ! :)

Goodies For Kiddies

A few years ago, I experienced staying at the hospital during the Eid as I was taking care of my loved one. The feeling was indescribable ... sad, to be exact. But then, it was only 2 weeks for me and my loved one, syukur alhamdulillah.

However, unlike what I had experienced, the strong little heroes and their loving parents are experiencing it on day to day basis. Their courage, their faith and their strong will power is something that I always respect.

Therefore, with the Deepavali celebration coming soon, as well as Children's Day events being celebrated at schools ( when I was a little girl, I remember clearly my school did Chidren's Day Celebration in October , still the same eh? ),I humbly announcing Project "Goodies For Kiddies"

Syukur alhamdulillah, last Friday, Adik Mohd Hazim Husaini celebrated his 16th birthday. We had a quiet birthday celebration, but I assure you, he was smiling all the way. Adik Aqeela is currently sitting for her PMR at the hospital, tough little lady she is. Adik Ng Yee Lin, hmmm.. she will be having a great time with her family real soon, under a programme organized by an NGO :)

My sincere gratitude to all friends who have been supporting little programs that I did... may Allah SAW bless you always.

Sprinkle Of Joy - A Bag Of Love

Syukur alhamdulillah, the day started with calm cool weather at my place... added with a beautiful rainbow up in the sky.

The goody bags were packed earlier, on 21st Aug (Saturday). My sincere thank you to all who have been helping through out the journey of making this happened. Honestly,without your help and His blessing, this could not have been a success.

In each bag, there were a jar of cookies, 1 giant cookie, 2 handkerchiefs, 1 colouring book, 1 story book, 1 small bolster, 1 pack of kerepek, 1 colour pencil, 1 sharpener, 1 Eid greeting card from Ms. Deanna Yusof, 1 Eid greeting card from Mr. Aznil Hj Nawawi and 1 pack of Duit Raya.

The goody bags were delivered to 2 oncology wards (UMMC and UKMMC). The children were smiling shyly and the parents beamed with joy when we handed the bags. Syukur.. :)

That is what Wishing Well Programme is all about... to make the little heroes smile, even for a few seconds. Their battle in fighting Big C is a journey that no words can describe how rocky the road is. InsyaAllah, with His blessing..hopefully, through the projects that we do and the love that we give to them, could sprinkle some dropsof joy, happiness and strength to each and one of them.

This project was kicked off a few weeks before Ramadhan. With tight deadlines for everyone to comply to, syukur alhamdulillah... everyone poured in their love, time and commitment towards it. Only Allah SWT can repay your kindness.... insyaAllah.

Everyone from different race, religion and gender comes together... for the children. Some of the individuals, I have known for years... some I have known through projects related to wishing well programme. No matter where our our path crossed, each and everyone of you are very special to me. Love you.

Just Smile

This note is dedicated to all who have been helping and spending time with Adik Mohd Hazim Husaini. Please know that... you have made a difference in his life.. insyaAllah. May Allah bless you, always...

Every time I visit him, he gives me his warmest smile. I know, he is in pain. Yet, he hides it. Usually he will say " buat tak tau je .., jangan layan sangat ". The degree of pain varies. It may be very painful at night, and bearable at day time. Sometimes.. the pain is always there.. 24/7. His constant companion is.. morphine.

Adik Mohd Hazim is one of the little heroes that have a special place in my heart.. and I believe, he is loved by many as well.

Everyday is a battle.. but, he never fails to smile..

Seeing him today, reminded me of a song by Charlie Chaplin

The Signature

I am a big fan of tennis. I play tennis, watch tennis, talk about tennis and in fact read about tennis too.

Last year, at 33 years old, I was proudly holding a big tennis ball with signatures of Nikolay Davydenko & Fernando Verdasco.

I was grinning for days, felt like I am the luckiest person on earth. Haha.. sounds childish right, but then.. every adult still has that bits and pieces as a child in the heart.

Well, now you know why I try my best, to get the Raya cards for the children to be signed by someone who can bring smiles to their faces.

Because I know... it is a feeling beyond words...

It is impossible for us to take away their pain...

But, God willing.. it is possible for us to make them smile... even for a second.....

p/s When I was a child, Steffi Graf was my idol. She is still my idol, till now :)

For The Children

It has been almost 10 months since we first started doing monthly programmes at RACTAR. Syukur alhamdulillah, my gratitude goes to En. Dzul and wife,staff at RACTAR and of course my very dedicated friends cum volunteers who have been very supportive in every projects that we did.

I only wrote once about what we do at RACTAR. Partly, because I was building up a team of volunteers. Alhamdulillah.. after 10 months.. I know, Allah SWT has given me a priceless gift. A group of dedicated, loving, cheerful and caring volunteers. Most important of all, they have become good friends of mine.

Amazingly.. half of them are friends I know through Wishing Well Programme. Wishing Well Programme started as a small platform to make the childhood cancer patients smile, laugh and enjoy the moments of being a child.We are not an NGO... just a group of friends, joining our hands together for the children.

Therefore, now.. Wishing Well Programme has spread the wings, reaching other children with different struggle in their life. RACTAR is a home to a group of girls who comes from a different background. Some are orphans, some are poor.. and some were abused before.

What we do there.. is just like the lyrics of a song by Whitney Houston. The lyrics goes something like this...

" I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be ..."

We have almost reached the target of 100 cookie jars :) Next, I am targeting to include story books in the goody bags.. insyaAllah...

A Bag Of Love

That is the reason why I decided to name the Ramadhan project as " A Bag Of Love" .

Again, similar to last year, my plan is to deliver goody bags to the children oncology wards at UMMC ( University Malaya Medical Centre ) and UKMMC ( Univesity Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre).

Some of the items that I am thinking to put in the bags are cookies, story books/magazines, raya cards, and of course.... the most important thing of all... all gifts must be sealed with lots of LOVE.

He Wants To Go Back To School

I have never met him in person. However, when my friend told me about his condition, this is what I told her.." I do not know how the result will be.. but insyaAllah... kita cuba ". After a few phone calls and sms with the father, I am very sure to post about it.

Adik Mohamad Abdullah Shaidie Ashari is a 17 years old active boy. He loves football. The bone cancer that he has right now was diagnosed during one of the selections to play for Kelantan.

His plight was published in Berita Harian and New Straits Times. Yet, the fund collected is not enough. As at yesterday ( 13th October 2009 ) evening, he is still short of RM22,000.

KOTA BARU: At 17 years old, Mohamad Abdullah Shaidie Ashari has had to put his life on hold, stopping his Form Five studies at Sekolah Menengah Arab Saniah and skipping the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations.

He was diagnosed with bone cancer after a fall during a football match last year, and at the end of this month he must undergo a RM34,000 knee implant operation at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian.

The plucky lad is already looking to the future.

"I miss my friends and teachers and I'm looking forward to going back to school. I want to form a study group with my friends so I can sit the SPM next year," he said.

But the immediate hurdle is that his parents cannot raise the money to pay for his surgery.

His father, mechanic Ashaari Abdul Rahman, earns only RM600 a month. And his mother, Ramlah Hassan, stays at home to look after him and his four siblings who are all still schooling.

"I hope generous Malaysians can help pay for my operation so I can go back to school," said Abdullah.

I am a strong believer that every child deserves to have a happy moment in their life, regardless religion, race or sex. That is why I started the Wishing Well Program. My relationships with the childhood cancer children connected me with the family as well.

Being human... I became attached to them.

Being human... I trembled when I received messages of patients that I knew were getting critical

Being human... tears fell when I knew they were no longer with us.

Wishing Well Program is never an organisation, not a NGO at all. It is just a group of friends, coming together to do small programs for childhood cancer patients.

Al Fatihah to Allahyarham Abang Nizam, the father of Allahyarham Khayrul Aiman.. the boy who touched so many hearts. Both of them lost their battle with cancer.

In an interview many months back, I told Pak Nil... losing one after another was not easy.. but I have to be strong, insyaAllah..

Being human... again, I will say.. it is not easy.

The Right Word

Deep in my heart.. I tried to find the right word to type on my keypad. Should I type.." Be Strong.." or should I type .." Hang in there.."

Finally, I type.." If you need to talk.. call me, text me, meet me.. take care"

All I wanted to say is, I'll be there.

That was the text exchange that I had with a mother who have lost her son in October 2009 due to cancer. Now, she has another battle in life... her husband is also fighting courageously with.. the big C.

Some may have still remember that little boy. The boy who touched so many hearts, who had brought so many wonderful people to be a part of Wishing Well Programme...May Allah SWT bless his soul.

Now, let us all come together again, in offering our prayers and love for this family, especially for the husband who is fighting courageously... the wife who is a remarkable lady... as well as to the rest of the family. InsyaAllah

In respecting the privacy of the family in this difficult moment, I apologized for not revealing the names. The only thing that I can say is... this wonderful lady need the love, support and of course prayers from all of us...

Mother's Love

No word can describe of a mother's feeling in seeing their little ones fighting for their life. One surgery after another, protocols to follow, endless cry, doctor's appointments, tray of medicines, chemotherapy, radiotherapy.. the list goes on.

She stopped working after her son's condition started to decline. As the Hodgkin Lymphoma that her son has becoming aggressive, she needs to be by his side 24/7.

No matter how difficult the situation is, she never gives up in taking care of her children. Started with selling kuih siput to find some extra income, now she has also been active in taking orders for crochet ( p/s i will make a special note for this.. to help her expand her business ;) )

Wishing Well Programme is not just about giving them a day to remember or arranging an artist to meet them. It is purely about helping the young patients and their family to have confidence in going through during the difficult moments. It is about giving them support. Easier said.. it is all about LOVE.

That is how we came up with the idea of giving Hazim's mother a sewing machine for her to expand her source of income. She knows how to sew, but the sewing machine that she has is already faulty.

The beautiful secret of a mother-child bond is,when the mother is happy,so does the child . Vice versa.

True enough.. I personally see the glimpse of happiness in Hazim's eyes when he talked about his mother's business.

He is proud of his mother. A child's gift for the mother that he loves.

As for Puan Zaidah a.k.a ibu Hazim, she is doing what any mother would do. A Mother's Love.

My personal gratitude to all my beloved friends who have helped to raise the fund in buying the sewing machine. May Allah bless you..

One Step At A Time

I have not been writing for quite sometime.. a month I think, yea.. approximately a month.

However.. I am back now, taking one step at a time, InsyaAllah..

Programmes at RACTAR have been on going for almost 5 months, alhamdulillah.. I have great volunteers who have become great friends. They have been supporting endlessly, especially during period when I was very tight up. I love you all .. thanks a million for your support. My main focus at RACTAR now is to plan for a way to help the girls with mathematics. I welcome any ideas or support that could benefit them.

As for Wishing Well Programme .. last event that we had, was the Aquaria. Adik Hazim is still fighting courageously, subhanallah. He was admitted a month ago..as he is constantly in pain. When I was down with viral fever, he sent me sms, asking me to take a good rest. Oh dear... I felt so small reading it, touched of course.. as I know, his pain is unbearable compared to mine.

Adik Afifah is going to school as usual.. still a big fan of Nubhan. Adik Hani Liyana.. her mom just told me that, she is coping well too. Same goes with Adik Aqeela. Adik Fizani lost weight, but as handsome as ever. Adik Amer in Kubang Kerian had just underwent another operation, while Adik Shaidie is back to school..only that doctor suspected another growth.Adik Najihah did a transplant recently and for little Azim, he is eating well according to the father.

Oh yes, I met Ng Yee Lin recently.. remember her? The girl who need RM28,000 for her medication. She is as bubbly as ever.. . Syukur Alhamdulillah.

These children are some of the children that have crossed our path... in our work to bring happiness in their life..even for a while. May Allah SWT bless us all.. and give us strength to keep on bringing smiles in them, insyaAllah.

I may have been quiet lately.. forgive me for that.. however, silently, the work continues.. insyaAllah.

Oh yes... Thank you for helping in making " Love Letter " project a success. You are precious :)

Let Us Make You Smile

I have just finished preparing the goody bags for the "Love Letter" project. While resting in my living room, looking at the 60 paper bags filled with love letters,chips, felt pens,oranges and cute soft toys.. I suddenly realized, on the paper bag, it is written " Let us make you smile ".

Subhanallah, under His blessing, the " Love Letter " has brought so many wonderful people together. Lovely siblings that have contacted me after reading the blog and of course, the wonderful friends who have been supporting from the very beginning.

Oh yes, Media Prima has been very supportive and kind in arranging Chinese New Year cards to be signed by their celebrities. I tried to have a peep, to see who signed it... unlucky me, all have been sealed ;)

My aunty used to tell me, it is not about the value of ones gift, it is the thought that counts. A kind thought is a strength booster for these children and their family. Hopefully, in this festive season... these small gift can bring smile and happiness in them.InsyaAllah..

"Let us make you smile" is what written on the paper bags.. insyaAllah... I hope I will be seeing numbers of smiles tomorrow..from the little heroes that I love.

A Trip Long Waited

I have a concrete reason why Adik Hazim has been the center of attention in my work with the childhood cancer patients.

When I first met him somewhere around February last year, I was told that there was no more hope for him.

I personally dislike that kind of statement. To me, who are we to determine whether there is hope or not. However, I am thankful that such statement was told to me. Due to that statement, there is no turning back in my work with the childhood cancer patients.

Last Saturday, syukur Alhamdulillah, Hazim and his family finally made it to Aquaria. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thanked Maslina, Aslina and Afiq for spending their weekend in helping me making this small project a reality for this special child. Not forgotten, Dolly, Coy and Pat who have been behind this project, you all are my Care Bears .May Allah bless you all .. always.

The 3 and a half hours spent at Aquaria was a moment of happiness. A moment of joy. And definitely, a moment full of love.

Wearing his Chelsea's t-shirt and cap, Hazim looked excited even though physically, he has lost so much weight. His cancer has spread to spleen, liver and bone... but, definitely, it did not spread to his spirit.

Hope is something we have in our heart, in everything that we do. My hope is, to see more and more of loving people out there spreading their love to these children. Easier said, do not lost hope in them.

From Allah we come, to Allah we will go back. Till that day comes, let's make the best of every second that He has granted to us all... insha Allah....

The Extended Family

There were moments in life we feel things did not worked out as we planned. Rocky road in the career path.. dealing with heartaches that have always been a constant companion and... when it comes to financial .. looks like there is no end in getting all bills paid up.

Just laying out some that I personally went through in this journey of life. Headache, I would say so.

However, every time I meet and talked to the children, Alhamdulillah...Allah opened up my eyes and made me realised that...hey, my issues are actually....NOTHING compares to them.

Adik Amer is one of the boy that came into my life recently. He is an orphan, currently seeking treatment at HUSM Kubang Kerian. Adik Amer is 16 years old and last year, his father lost the battle to cancer.

Ever since he shed tears on the first phone call I had with him, my mind have been thinking of ways to help him. Alhamdulillah..finally... I came out with.." The Extended Family"

"The Extended Family" is a project to give support and care to Adik Amer who has been battling the bone cancer. For the note,the cancer has spread to his lung and he will undergo a chemotherapy for it soon. InsyaAllah... I believe, support can go in many ways... financial, care and love ..to name a few..

For a start, I am planning to ask for my friend's help to buy him some food that he wanted to eat. From the sms I received this morning... he said he wanted to eat roti canai with milk...how I wish I could get that for him..

p.s. Yati has been constantly visiting him every time she goes back to Kelantan. If there is any of the friends here, whose home town is Kelantan, who can visit Amer on my behalf.. I really appreciate it. Kindly contact me ...

Goodbye Little Child...

It is a little bit windy this morning, and I saw birds chirping and flying up in the sky, while on my way to work today. The feeling was serene, and in my heart.. I am mourning.

He has returned to the Creator, on 9th December 2009 at 4.42pm. He was a charming 13 year old boy, who has been fighting courageously for a few years. He had T Cell Lymphoma.

When a friend asked me, how do I handle the grieve losing one kid after another...all I can say is..tears will flow, but there are many little heroes who would want to see me smile...

A little recital of Al Fatihah will be a great gift for his soul... Al Fatihah my dear Amer..

May Allah SWT give the parents the strength.. oh yes, he was the only child......

From Sisters To A Sister

Most of the childhood cancer patients that I have known of and involved with are completely stranger at first. It is me who knocked at their door,hoping that they would open up their heart and accept me as a friend.

However, last week carried a different scenario for me. For the past few days, Nanee, Lilen and Idlan have been updating me... informing me that one of our STF sister is battling with leukimia (AML). To know that someone you have known for years is in that situation... no words can express how I feel...as I am quite well verse of what cancer is all about..

We are all sisters. We do not come from the same parents, but having spent 5 years of growing up together, the bond is definitely strong.

Azura Hani is my junior in STF. I can't describe much of her.. as after school, all of us took different path. That does not matter though. Because.... no matter how distance we have become, in this difficult period of time, the bond hold us strong. My dear Zoorek, we are here for you..

Our friend and dear batchmate STF9094 Azura Hani Ahmad was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukimia (AML). She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at University Hospital. Courage & Strength

About 12 years ago, in a small apartment in a foreign land, I was on a long distance phone call. She said the pain was hard to explain. She knew time was running out on her. However, this was what she told me...

"I want to finish my degree. Getting married or having kids seems difficult now... but I want my scroll"

I came back during summer holiday, and promised to visit her... I was a day too late.

My dear sweet friend passed away not long after she finished her study. She had cancer.

She was not the only reason why I have been volunteering with childhood cancer patients.. but the short period of time that I had with her leads me to the turning point in my life. Her words I remembered clearly .. her courage and strength is something that I admire, till today. May Allah bless her soul.. insha Allah..

I am taking this chance to express my gratitude and appreciation to relatives and friends who have been supporting, helping and praying for every little projects that I have came up with, for the children with cancer. Thank you so much and I love you all.

Specially Yours #6_Pretty Girl

She loves to smile. No matter how hard her days goes by… while having chemotherapy, being in isolation room or during moments her body is all aching… she will always give me the priceless gift ever… which is the SWEETEST SMILE.

She is 10 years old, an ALL patient. She loves drawing. In fact, recently, she did a get well soon card for her idol, Ms. Misha Omar. Isn’t that sweet…. As sweet as her smile..

I thanked Allah SWT for crossing my path with her and other little heroes. And of course.. Alhamdulillah that He allows it to happen. I could not find a perfect word to describe how special these children are. Just take that act of hers as an example. She has ALL ( All Acute Leukemia ). Yet, when she knew that Ms. Misha is down with flu, she did a Get Well Soon Card for Ms. Misha. Not only that, she went around, asking all her friends in the ward to sign and wish Ms. Misha well. Subhanallah...

I received Specially Yours #6 from Ibu Adam a few days ago, and sent to Adik Najiha today.Yup, her name is Najiha.

To Ibu Adam, thank you so much for the endless support, love, care and friendship that you has offered for the past 20 years. I pray that our friendship will last forever.. May Allah bless you and your family always...

Note: Ibu Adam is not only my close friend, but she is also the one who did the setting of the blog for Wishing Well Programme. I am really bad in that. Lucky me.. I have her :) All I do is compose and click “ Post” . The rest… is all her work!

Subhanallah... a few days ago I received 2 t shirts from a great sportswomen , Ms. Shalin Zulkifli, who despite of her tight and busy schedule, spare her time in giving support to Azmer. Azmer is a 16 years old boy, who is currently undergoing bone cancer treatment at a hospital in Kelantan. Azmer loves bowling. He used to play bowling before being diagnosed of having bone cancer. Oh yes.. he is the boy who I post before... who lost his father due to cancer too.

Ms. Shalin does not know me personally.. kudos to Mr. Lukman Jasril who immediately text Ms. Shalin, once he heard of my intention.

Allah listen to every words that we said.. either silently in our heart.. or when we voice out loud..Subhanallah..

To Ms. Shalin Zulkifli, thank you so much for the thoughtful gift. I pray for your success in everything that you do. You have made Malaysia proud with great achievements.. and honestly, no words can describe the joy in his voice when I told him what you have done. May Allah bless you ..Always....

Note: Mr. Lukman Jasril Hamzah is the person who gave the name WISHING WELL. He actually proposed "Wishing Well Foundation"... I changed it to "Programme". Reason.... "Foundation" is tooooooooooo huge for me

I knew about her through friends. A chirpy young girl.. she was interviewed by Mr. Hj Aznil Hj Nawawi recently. " Dia ni ceria la..." Even though the memory is a bit blury in my mind... I believe that was what he said.

"Kalau kat telefon,boleh cakap banyak.. kalau tengok muka malu.." That was what he said to me. He is shy every time he sees me in person.. but over the phone, he will tell me a lot of stories.

He is a 13 years old boy, who is fighting bravely like every little heroes in the ward that I know. His mom also carries a character that I admire. She is always smiling and joking with me. Deeply in her heart and in her mind, I believe there will be 1001 things lingering around, but she never fails to give me a priceless smile... may Allah bless her..

He is the recipient for Specially Yours #3. It touched my heart every time my friends called me and asked..." Do you think gift like this will make the children smile...? " or.. any questions that are similar to that.

To know that the world is still full of love is a blessing. Syukur alhamdulilah....

Kuih Siput...Anyone?

Regardless how rocky the road is... how strong the wind blows... how loud the thunder roar... she never give up.

Her courage is something I admire. She is not a who's who .. who appears on the front page of a newspaper.

She is a mother. Trying her best to provide a good life for her children.

As the son is in constant pain nowadays, she has to stop working. Waiting for a welfare contribution alone is not her way. She build up her confidence, with a strong spirit.. she started selling things she knows best.

She is selling kuih siput ( a traditional malay crisps made of flour, margarine and spices ). By doing this, she can have her eyes on her son.. as well as making the ends meet.

Well.... kuih siput ..anyone ?

From the bottom of my heart, the description above ( the first 3 lines ) is not only a tribute to her.. it is a tribute to my mother.. my relatives... my friends.. and to all of you, who are mothers/aunties/guardians.

It Can Wait

With an extra of RM50 in my purse, my mind will be wandering, thinking of a trip to Kinokuniya and a stop over at Dome for coffee.

For this mother, RM50 will be able to cover the round trip taxi fare from her house to the hospital.

However, she could not afford spending RM50 on taxi. That could cover a week of groceries. Hmm.. with everything becoming costly now, I doubt it.

The normal route will be... first, taking a bus from their house to the nearest lrt station. Next, taking lrt (Putra). Then change over at Masjid Jamek for STAR line. Lastly, hop into a cab, heading to hospital.

They are not going to hospital for a simple check up. The son is undergoing radiotherapy.

I am skipping buying a book this month and a drink at Dome. It can wait.

I am hoping and praying there will be a way for the patient and the mother...
InsyaAllah... All praise to Him

Note : The son will be going for 15 times of radiotherapy = 15 days.

Broken Heart

The son is battling a last stage cancer...

The daughter, the hope of the family... will be sitting for the final exam next week.. ( her birthday is next week too )

The two little ones... too young to understand what is going on..

Little kiddo asked , " kenapa ibu menangis ? ".. on her behalf I answered, " ibu sakit gigi ".

I lied.

The father chose to leave his family.

Easy way out.

I am very sorry to be a bit emotional about this.. but I am just a human. However, this anger will have to end now. I have no right to interfere in anyone's personal matter. Astaghfirullahalazim..

Children have the right to be happy. I hold strongly to that. The last thing the son need is a broken heart before his next radiotherapy. Therefore, spontaneously, I asked them, " Cuti sekolah nak pegi jalan-jalan kat Aquaria tak ? " They said yes :) It will be on Sunday (22/11), a day before the museum trip, insyaAllah..

InsyaAllah..I hope some how, some way.. Allah will help me to get the funding (never before I do 2 major programmes continuously for 2 days )

I pray and hope that there will be a rainbow for this family.. insyaAllah... May Allah bless them....

Specially Yours #2 _Cutie Pie

She is a cute, smart cheeky little girl. Loves to sing, she is the entertainer at the ward.Honestly speaking.. she is ADORABLE!! Little Hani Liyana is an ALL ( Acute Lymphoblastik Leukimia ) patient, 4 years old. She was jumping up and down when she saw me at the ward the other day. Betul.. tak tipu :) Seorang kanak-kanak yang sangat manja & ceria.

I would not know what kind of treatments can help her, what medicine can cure her... but I know prayers are something that you & I can give. Not forgetting, I can try by widening the wings of the project that I have started a few weeks go.

Specially Yours #2 reached Adik Yana on Monday. Last week was her 4th birthday.

Her mom sent me the pictures in this post.

Her smile says it all.....

That was the program that I watched on my birthday recently, " Wonder Pets " . Guess who actually made me watch it....... mom & dad :) ..love them so much !

While watching that story, I smiled. Because... that is how Wishing Well Programme works. "Kerjasama" :)

I received a lot of birthday wishes that comes together with inspirational/motivational

words that I definitely will keep in my heart. Thank you, thank you and thank you...

However, I would like to share those words & wishes with all of you who have been with me all the way.. When the childhood cancer patients smile... believe me, you are a part of it...

Tears Of A Child

I personally did not expect him to cry. Especially because that was our first conversation. He is 16, currently seeking treatment in Kelantan.

Having lost his father due to throat cancer last year, Adik Sharifuddin has now started his own journey in battling bone cancer that was just diagnosed recently. His sms was something like this.." Dah masuk dah chemo pod.4 hari lagi baru masuk ubat.. "

Maybe, he has kept the emotions to himself for so long. Therefore... the tears of a child fell the day I called him.

He no longer has both parents with him right now.Mother could not be located, and father has passed away. But I strongly believe, after this post, there will be a lot of people, young and old, offering a sprinkle of love for Adik Sharifuddin . In other hands.... insyaAllah, there will be new "extended family" members.

Currently, almost everyday I will be getting a new case. My resources are very limited but I believe, Allah works in mysterious ways.. InsyaAllah. He will be there for us, as long as we have faith in Him. For Adik Sharifuddin, it is very hard for me to visit him physically, as he is in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan. However, I believe.. distance is not an issue.

InsyaAllah... with His blessing.. something will workout... soon..

Sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit

In response to the plight highlighted in NST, Harian Metro and Berita Harian, a group of friends came together and came out with one cheque for Adik Shaidie. All I can say is... Syukur Alhamdulillah. All praise to Him.

What I can see is.. no matter how little amount we can contribute, that is not the issue. Sikit-sikit, lama- lama jadi bukit. What I received yesterday was a cheque with an amount of RM4K. Subhanallah.. to those who have donated, thank you very much. I personally have handed your donation to NSTP yesterday, together with a dear friend of mine, Mas.

Honestly, I did not expect that amount. Allah telah mengizinkan segalanya... Alhamdulillah.

Adik Shaidie's surgery has been postponed to 28th October 2009 (earlier scheduled was today, 21st October ) . Mari lah kita sama-sama berdoa agar dia dapat melalui pembedahan tersebut dengan selamat. InsyaAllah

Pergi Sekolah Tak ..?

She has been considered as under palliative care. Having been diagnosed of having leukemia at a very young age, she has been in and out of hospital for countless times. The chemotherapy failed on her.. now.. she is in the stage called " bertahan ". Oh yes, she is 13 years old now.

To get through to her is not that difficult, as she is bubbly. She has been sending me messages constantly. However, tonight, she did not reply to my sms.

It is because I asked her.." Pergi sekolah tak..?"

Most of the childhood cancer patients that I know are brilliant, clever and honest. Easier said.. good girls and good boys. I know she could not lie to me.. therefore, she chose to be silent.

A few weeks ago, her parents have asked for my help to constantly follow up on her schooling. It is because... after being away from school for so long, she has problem in making friends.

This is one of the issue that Wishing Well Programme is looking closely into. In helping the childhood cancer patients to regain back their confidence and be strong to face the world outside hospital. Honestly, I know it is difficult. However, it is not impossible.

I had a long talk with her... about school.. about friends... about life with cancer. InsyaAllah.. I strongly believe.. she can do it..

" Sincerely Yours "is a project that can help in this issue . I know there are many loving people out there who can help to boost the spirits of the little heroes. A note of encouraging words can definitely ignite the confidence in them.. insyaAllah...

Project " Sincerely Yours " - DOs and DON'Ts

This is a really simple project that have crossed my mind in order to get more people spreading the love and care, as well as giving the support to the patients and family in their difficult moments. All you have to do is to send a card to the patients, as well as to the parents and siblings ( through me ). Siblings need support too, as there will times they will have to be on their own while parents accompanying the patients at the hospital.

I truly believe, it makes a difference when you know people care about you. I have seen that. Subhanallah..

Therefore, I will personally contact each one of you that have agreed to be a part of this. As this will be an on going project, some will be contacted earlier, some will be later. Walau macam mana sekalipun... insyaAllah, you all will have the chance to send your love :)

Oh ya, there will be circumstances that I could not reveal the names of patients that you are sending the cards to.. but i will describe briefly how he /she is.Hope you understand that.. as to respect the parents/ family wishes. Once done, you can send it to me ( I will let you know my address in personal message )

Here goes the DOs & DON'Ts

DOs
1. Send cheery & ceria cards.. cards that will make them smile. For the patients, can use " Wishing You Well" , " Take Care " , "My Prayers With You "
2. Can send small items i.e. stickers, stationery, magazine..( but as you have to send to me, mahal pulak nanti..so hantar yg ringan je lah )
3. Can actually tell who you are.. kerja apa or so on..kids love stories
4. Cards for the siblings can be like " Good Luck For Your Exam"," Best Wishes "
5. Cards for parents, can be like " We Are Here For You", " Take Care "

The most important thing is.. we are here trying to make them happy & smile. Please do not seal, as I will go through all cards..

DON'Ts
1. Please refrain from saying " Get Well Soon" or " Get Better " ..or anything similar.. as there are cases that might not have cure and sadly may not get better.
2. I have experienced hearing someone asked the parents.. " Puan redha? " Please avoid that kind of questions..
3. Do not send any food or candy, as some have allergies and are diabetics
4. Do not add glitters or confetti, as the children might be opening the cards at the ward / on the hospital beds
5. Do not send USED stuff animal. Some have very low immune system.. best to buy new :)

There you go, list of the DOs and DON'Ts. However, please feel free to message me or e mail me if there are doubts. No worries... I am here to share my experiences :)

Project " Sincerely Yours "

I have been contacted by numbers of friends and strangers (new friends now :) ) who wanted to be a part of Wishing Well Programme. As I am not an NGO ( Wishing Well Programme is a thing that I personally wanted to do and being supported strongly by AMAZING people around me, all praise to the Almighty ), it is quite difficult for me to gather everyone at one time.

However, I welcome all extended hands with an open arm. That is how this project " Sincerely Yours " came about.

"Sincerely Yours" is a project showing support to the patient, parents and siblings through the difficult moments. Individuals can send cards/ mail / small gift to the patients as well as to the parents and siblings ( siblings need support too! )

I truly understand when some of my friends told me that even though they wanted to visit and meet the children at the ward, they are just so worried that they might break down. Therefore, I think "Sincerely Yours" will be a good "platform" to be with the children and their family... something like, " jauh di mata, dekat di hati :) "

Those who are interested to be a part of this project, you are most welcome.. just let me know yea :)

There will be a guideline of DOs and DONT's .. I will post on that real soon :)

As Wishing Well Programme is a programme about bringing happiness, smile and laughter in the children who are battling with illness in their life... I believe, insyaAllah, with His permission..project "Yours Sincerely " will be able to deliver that result.... tak banyak pun sikit, insyaAllah..

The Boy Who Has Touched My Heart

He will always have a special place in my heart. His courage and his humbleness always made me feel so small compared to him. He is only 15 years old, but honestly.. he is very matured for his age.

Adik Hazim is a Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma patient. He has been in and out of hospital, went through critical situations for a few times and yet, he never give up.

I thank Allah SWT for crossing my path with Adik Hazim. Syukur Allhamdulillah. He is a gift for me. Honestly, he is the boy who has touched my heart.

He knew medically, there is no more treatment for him. We ( Hazim & I ) even had a conversation on what & how death will be.

Yet, he never give up. He has started preparing for his PMR next year.

Note: He is supposed to sit for PMR this year, but due to his illness, he has not attended school at all this year. He will be in form 3 again next year.

May Allah bless Hazim & his family.. and may Allah bless you too..

What Soothes Him

Syukur Alhamdulillah, Allah SWT blessed me with wonderful friends. Friends who believed in me.. and one of the most precious thing is friends who endlessly supporting me in things I do.

Coy sent me a box of origami papers & origami books for me to learn. All this while, during my 4 years stay in Japan, I never ever took the chance to learn origami ( teruk betul :p ).. the love for the children changed me... and thanks to Coy who gave me the idea, I finally knew how to fold a fish and a crane :)

That was what soothes Adik Qayyum yesterday. He was having pain during the blood transfusion. Semua jadi tak kena. When I asked the nurse & his grandma ( parents have to be away on urgent matters ) what is wrong.. they told me that the blood transfusion is very painful.

Origami came to the rescue. Trying my best to distract him, he started requesting for one after another fish & crane ( walaupun tak berapa lawa, boleh la..;) )

When Mr. Hj. Aznil asked me.. how can a non-medical related people help the little heroes.. I said , there are many ways. Emm.. perhaps folding origami papers?

Adik Qayyum fell asleep during the transfusion.. his grandma were right next to him, stroking his little hands.

In his hands.. holding the red paper fish tightly...

Sometimes in life, we do not know how our act will impact someone. Regardless of who we are and what we do, insyaAllah, with His blessing, every good intention will be bringing a positive impact towards the recipient.

I thank Allah SWT when I heard that Adik Ng Yee Lin is fighting her very best undergoing the chemotherapy while Adik Hazim is preparing himself to sit for PMR next year. The best news received yesterday was, Adik Aiman's parents are no longer losing hope. They are back on their feet again.. and will try their best to get the best treatment for their little hero.

These are some of the real stories that are happening around us. I always believe, after every hurricane, there will be a rainbow somewhere. To know that they are not giving up, is a priceless gift that Allah SWT gave. Syukur Alhamdulillah..

No matter what we do in life.. students, professionals, home makers, artist, politicians, or even if you are still looking for a job ( i wish you the very best ).. in my eyes, everyone has the potential in bringing happiness to the children who are battling in their life.

To those who have contacted me offering their help..I thank you so much and welcome you with an open arm.. :)

"Keadaan Yee Lin baik sekarang, terima kasih. Yee Lin sudah tak perlu masuk ubat anti virus lagi dan sudah sambung dengan rawatan kimoterapi pada Jumaat lalu. kami diberitahu dari doktor bahawa kalau keadaan Yee Lin stabil, kami sudah boleh bawa balik rumah tak lama lagi"

Syukur alhamdulillah..

This little girl is proceeding with chemotherapy as the anti fungal treatment completed. Thank you all.... FOR EVERYTHING...

It Ain't Over Till It's Over

That is very true. None of us would know when is the time for us to return to the Creator. What we can do is, try at the very best in everything that we do and leave the fate to Allah SWT.

That is what the Wishing Well Programme is all about. We are not giving them hope.. but all we wanted to do is to let the children and their family knows that.. it ain't over till it's over.They have us who loves them very much. I personally do not like the "Last Wish" term. But, at crucial moments, I would use it based on the health situation.

However, it is all in the God's hands. For us here, we will try our best to help the children to be a child. Full of fun, laughter and at the same time, "kena dengar cakap orang tua juga" :)

Syukur alhamdulillah, Adik Hazim Husaini has turned 15 years old last Thursday. When I first met him, I was told not to wait for his birthday.. as that may not come.

As at yesterday, Adik Khayrul Aiman started eating and taking his medicine again. Syukur Alhamdulillah.. I told Pak Nil about it. I believe.. he is calling Adik Aiman's parents anytime soon... insyaAllah... :)

I truly believe, being happy does help in process of getting better. It is not us to decide when is the time.. Hanya Allah SWT sahaja yang menentukan..

" Dabi, have you said thank you to those who helped you?" asked my parents last night. I remembered I did to some, but I am pretty sure I have missed a few. Thank you mak & ayah for always keeping me in the right track.

This note is specially dedicated to all who is reading it, right now.

In the early years of my involvement with childhood cancer patients, a friend of mine, who has lost her son due to cancer, told me this... " There are times when we, who have children with cancer broke down when we saw the other children who are in the same situation. Davie, we need you to be strong." That was many years back..and I kept it strongly in my heart.

Honestly, it is not easy to hold back tears, especially when the mothers hug me. For The Little Boy

Everything happened so fast. When I called hospital, is just a normal follow up that i do, especially that I have been away for Eid. Never crossed my mind that, I received a bad news.

I called the mother immediately. Once she heard my voice, she cried. Enough for me to know what the situation is. Soon after, started numbers of phone calls, sms and messages floating in the air. All for the little boy.

Adik Aiman really adores Mr.Hj. Aznil Hj. Nawawi, or famously known as Pak Nil. Ever since Adik Aiman met Pak Nil by coincidence, the photo that was taken is like Adik Aiman's precious treasure.

At 6 years old, Adik Aiman is fighting the pain at a degree that maybe some of us may not even have experienced before. The least I could do is... to help him get some of the wishes.

Syukur Alhamdulillah.. Pak Nil spent almost 1 and a half hour at Adik Aiman's house. Adik Aiman is in pain, not much conversations can be held.. but I saw Adik Aiman turned and looked at Pak Nil closely...maybe ,who knows.. in his heart saying..."Yeay! Pak Nil datang!! "

In dealing with this crucial moment.. everyone who loves and knows Adik Aiman need the moral support.His parents,siblings, relatives, friends... all need the strength to be strong..

Allah SWT has put all of us together.. in helping them to go through this difficult moment.. Subhanallah..

I thank you all of you for helping me to reach Mr.Hj. Aznil Hj. Nawawi. Only Allah SWT can repay back your kindness.

p/s Pak Nil gave Adik Aiman a bottle of "air zam zam" that he brought back from his pilgrimage last year. Oh yes, Adik Aiman also received a Tom Tom Bak T-shirt and a cap. He hold it very tightly.

It's All In The Heart

I heard his voice when I was talking to his mother over the phone. Crying, in pain. He is only 6 years old, but doctors have asked his parents to bring him back home. So that when the time comes for him to return to his Creator, he will have those that he loves with him.

Is it wrong to arrange for a celebrity that he admires so much to be with him at this final stage? I strongly believe not. If this celebrity can make him smile and say the last prayer calmly, what is wrong with that.

To me, it is all in the heart. One should not judge a person based on their style, their work or easier said, do not judge book by its cover. Their heart is what matter most. That is my belief.I hold strongly to that.

Khayrul Aiman is at the end stage now. His father is also currently battling cancer. The least I can do is, to help the family to see Adik Aiman laughs and smiles for the last time. If Mr. Aznil Hj Nawawi is the one who can do that, we will try to reach Mr.Aznil.

Note: Subhanallah... I am surrounded by so many loving people that have helped me to reach Mr.Aznil's agent. Hopefully, they get to meet each other. InsyaAllah..

A Trip To Museum

There is a phrase in my blog that goes something like this.. " Little thing to us.. maybe a huge thing to them". It is true.. as all of us see things differently. So are the children. What they wish for is something that really surprised me.... and honestly,.. their wishes are so pure.

When I asked her, what she really wanted to do if she is discharged from the hospital.... quietly, she said.." Nak pergi Muzium Negara "

Sweet right... a teenager who wants nothing more than to go to the National Museum. She is 14 years old, a very cute and extremely brave girl who have been fighting against leukemia since the age of 5 years old.

Childhood memories is something that we all have. I had good, bad, silly,happy even embarrassing childhood memories. I believe same goes to all of you :) . For childhood cancer patients, their time are most spent in the ward or at home. Chemotherapy, radiotherapy, skipping school, missing their families, friends..are memories that most of them have since small. I truly believe, being happy does help in the process of getting better. Children are still children. Therefore, they deserve to have their own childhood memories. A piece of happy childhood memories.

For this girl, she wanted to go to museum.Her mom told me, she really wanted to take a ride in the double decker express bus. However, due to the health reason, long journey is impossible for her. Aha!! There is Hop On Hop Off Bus.. :)

We will go to the museum girl, insyaAllah.. with those who love you. Oh yes, we are taking the Hop On Hop Off too :)

In Good Hands

It was last week when I posted the note about a girl who need RM28k for the treatment that she urgently has to take. Today.. I just received a news that.. she is in GOOD HANDS. Some organizations has contacted for the appeal, and syukur Alhamdulillah... Adik Ng Yee Lin will get the medication that she needs.

Allah works in mysterious ways.. He crossed our path together.. and as long as we have faith in Him, He will be there. That is what I believe in.

No matter how bad the rain is.. there will be a rainbow.. somewhere... insyaAllah

Hope & Chance

All through our life, we have hopes. We hope to be better in life, we hope to have success and well.. we hope that we will meet the right person to share our life with. When we start hoping.. we look for chances to turn that hope into a reality, insyaAllah..

When I posted the notes on Adik Ng Yee Lin, I was hoping for the best. I was hoping that Adik Yee Lin will be given a chance ... a chance to get well.

I was NOT doing any donation drive. However, friends started to ask for my account number. Thank you for trusting and believing in me. Honestly, I was overwhelmed by it and a bit worry of holding people's money.

Therefore, today (16th September 2009) I went to the ward to hand over the money to the parents. The first round was RM2,040.00 handed on 12th September 2009. With that amount, the parents managed to buy 2 bottles of the medication. Today, I handed the balance of RM6,760.00 that was used to buy 6 bottles ( the father immediately went to the pharmacy to buy it )

Attaching the photos ( err..actually.. i don't like taking photos of myself ) taken at the ward, as evidence to all donors that the money has been safely handed to Adik Ng Yee Lin's parents.

I had a great childhood, alhamdulillah... I hope the same goes to the children as well....insyaAllah...

When You Wish Upon A Star - A Thank You Note

I went to Disneyland recently.. and heard this song..part of the lyrics goes like this..

"When you wish upon a star. Makes no difference who you are. Anything your heart desires. Will come to you...." (of course, we need Allah's blessing in achieving the dream :) )

I believe....every child has the right to enjoy their childhood, regardless race, religion, gender or status. Little thing to us, maybe a huge thing to them. With God's guidance and blessing, I hope that these children can laugh, smile and have fun like other kids out there, insyaAllah...

That is what Wishing Well Programme is all about. To give the children a moment to laugh, to have fun and to smile. Not only that, Wishing Well Programme hopes that the children can build the confidence in themselves as well as boost the spirit, regardless how rocky the roads are sometime.

Currently, I am focusing on childhood cancer patients. This leads to collaborations with many wonderful individuals, corporates as well as sports bodies. Each and everyone of them is a precious gift from Allah, Alhamdulillah .. and I THANK YOU to all of you for believing and trusting me. I am really glad that Allah had crossed our path in this journey of life.

Alhamdulillah.. all projects and programmes have become a success. Subhanallah .. all praise to Him. Nevertheless, all have become a success because I have all of YOU who endlessly supporting me, helping me, guiding me and who have been praying for me. We are here together for the love that we have for the children. MasyaAllah.. so beautiful how Allah make things work.

InsyaAllah.. Wishing Well Programme will be expanding the horizon.. so that more children will benefit from the programmes that we are doing.

Oh yes... I have a good news..insyaAllah.. ward visit will resume.. soon :)

The Children's Journey Is Still Long

When the mother passed away, I was there. A few minutes late, but I witnessed all. Which leads to the decision I made.. the Cinderella Day Out is still on.

Grieving is something we adults do best. However, a child should not be pulled into it. Their journey is still long. Losing a mother is not an easy thing to go through. Especially when it is just a week before the Eid.

Cinderella Day Out (13th Sept 2009) was a great success. Syukur Alhamdulillah to Allah SWT for giving me the strength to be as chirpy as always with the children.. and thank you Allah for making so many generous people lending their hands. We went to Tesco Mutiara Damansara and had a great time shopping.There were 8 kids altogether, including Adik Hazim and his siblings.

As for Adik Hazim, going through every radiotherapy sessions is not easy.. and the feeling is worse when the lump keeps on appearing everywhere. Happy moments could make him forget the pain for a while. That is the reason why we brought him and his family too.

The objective of most of my programmes/projects are to make the children smile happily.

It was a mission accomplished today.. as I received A BIG SMILE!!! Syukur Alhamdulillah..

We Are Here For You

She is in Isolation Room 1. When I arrived, she was watching TV while her elder sister was drawing. That is how life is for the family of a childhood cancer patient. They will be spending most of their time in the hospital, which I could say their second home.

Yesterday, I have handed over a total of RM2,040.00 to the family ( money collected from various people out there ), for the medication that little Ng Yee Lin needs. This money will be used to cover treatment for 14th and 15th September 2009.

Little Ng Yee Lin is no longer a shy, timid girl. She is chirpy now.. and screamed happily when I gave her a few of Naruto items ( was given by a few of generous people out there ) She was proudly showing off the cards, stickers and jigsaw puzzle to her parents and sister.

Seeing the family laugh together was a gift from Allah that I treasure most. I wish I could share those moments with you all, especially with those who have been together with me in my projects.

Regardless race, religion, gender and background, these children are the focus of my programmes.

To me they are a gift from Allah SWT.

Syukur Alhamdulillah, the Syawal Note care packages were handed to the patients today. The recipients are the patients of UMMC and UKM Medical Centre. For those who are not warded, we have handed it to the nurses to keep it first, and pass it to the children when they go to the ward.

A lot of parents asked.. " are you doctor? " " are you from media? " " who gave this " ?... My reply was.. It is from people who loves the children :)

Believe me.. there were smiles everywhere. Cards & care pack were handed to the children personally by me and no words can express how I felt. This Syawal Note project combined the love of people from various background. Love for the children put us together. A priceless gift that Allah gave to all of us.Alhamdulillah..

Thank you Allah for allowing it to be a success.. and Thank you to all of YOU who have been a part of it..

An 8 year old girl, Ng Yee Lin is currently admitted at UKM Medical Centre. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukimia (ALL) in June 2009. She was started on chemotherapy (UK ALL 97-Regimen A). After 2 weeks of started the chemotherapy, she developed recurrent fever and discovered that she developed disseminated fungal infection ( due to her body's low immunity ). Her chemotherapy was withheld and she was started on anti-fungal treatment.Unfortunately, anti-fungal treatment is required for prolonged time ( 2-3months duration , depending on patient's response ) and it is very costly ( as it is not subsidized by the hospital )
The description above is actually copied from Doctor's letter.

Basically she needs help to get the supply of medication.

Details of her medication:
Name of medication : Intravenous Caspofungin
Total Quantity : 30 bottles
Total Cost : RM28,000.00
With an adequate anti-fungal treatment, most patients will recover and can continue with their chemotherapy.

Her dad is working as technician, and her mom had to stop work to take care of her. They had spend more than RM20k for the past 2 months. Now, they cannot afford to pay for the medication.

We are trying our best to get help from various people/organization. Now, as I am composing this note, this girl has medicine for 5 days ( treatment with this expensive medication started 10th Sept 09 ).By Tuesday, there is still no allocation for the medication. She needs another 25 days of supply.

A big fan of Naruto, she smiles a lot, but hardly talk. But, there was a day, she looked at me and said " Terima kasih kakak"

A friend called me yesterday. Haven't heard from him for quite sometime, glad to hear that his family is doing fine, Alhamdulillah. He asked me .. " how did u do it..asking people for donation.." His question brought a smile to me..

My answer was simple. I told him.." It's all in the act of Allah SWT. I did not ask for money, but there are really loving people out there, who actually asked for my account number and address ( to send donation items) ". Allah moved their heart. MasyaAllah

Honestly, there are many loving and caring people out there, still. Syukur Alhamdulillah. Yesterday,another added to my list. It is Gapurna Group. Allah moved their heart to contact me.. Subhanallah. What else could I say , except... as usual, drops of tears. I confessed before, I hardly cry when I am with the children. But I do shed tears of joy. I did yesterday.

Love, tender and care still exist, no matter how tough and rough the world is nowadays. I believe in that. Strongly.

Dengarlah Sayang

" Dengarlah Sayang " is a project/programme that popped in my head while running on the thread mill. Funny but true, most of the ideas came either while at the gym or at the tennis court ;) However, I had to put it on hold because... this crossed my mind when the H1N1 became a pandemic.

However.. what's wrong in planning and hoping that this would be a reality, right? Here goes what "Dengarlah Sayang" is all about..

"Dengarlah Sayang" is a programme of story telling sessions for the children at the oncology ward. This story telling session will be a fun and enjoyable moment. Nothing wrong in giving the children a moment of fantasy.

Let's pray and hope that one day, the invitation card will be send out to the story tellers...

What Matters Most

A little bit update of Syawal Note & Cinderella Day Out.

All praise to the Almighty, things are on track. The delivery date for the Syawal Note will be on 12th September 2009 and Cinderella Day Out will be on 13th September, InsyaAllah.

Everyday, Wishing Well Programme is being blessed with wonderful surprises. Various people of different background comes forward, extending a helping hand in making each programme a reality, Subhanallah.

To me, every individual is unique in their own way. Regardless who you are, believe me.. when the little heroes smile... YOU ARE A PART OF IT, INSYAALLAH.

Personally... regardless of what you do for a living.. clerks, students, engineers, architects, home makers, singers, artist, professionals, sportsmen, politicians, doctors, nurses, teachers, bankers, or any career that are in this world ( sorry.. to type all, it will be endless )... that does not matter to me.What matter most is your HEART. Thank you Allah, for crossing my path with all these wonderful people.. Thank you to YOU, for believing in what I do..

Oh yes, to the children.. YOU ARE A PRECIOUS GIFT :)

Kecil bagi kita, besar bagi mereka

Semalam saya menelefon ibu Adik Hazim, untuk bertanyakan keadaan mereka sekeluarga. Hmm.. guess what, sekarang ibunya dah jadi bisnes minded :) Syukur alhamdulillah.. satu yang dapat saya lihat perubahan keluarga ini, mereka semakin positif dalam mengharungi hidup sehari hari. Ibu Hazim sekarang tengah cuba nak menjual kuih siput. Selain dari itu, selepas mereka mendapat sumbangan peti ais, sebelum Ramadhan , mereka sudah mula menjual ais krim malaysia ( yang dalam plastik panjang ).

Untuk mereka yang sentiasa mendoakan keluarga ini, saya dengan rasa rendah diri memberitahu, alhamdulillah.. keadaan mereka semakin ok dari segi rohani. Kepincangan kewangan masih wujud dan kesihatan Adik Hazim masih di tahap yang agak kritikal. Namun, saya dapat rasakan keyakinan diri terutama pada ibu Adik Hazim dan juga Adik Hazim sendiri semakin baik.

Adik Hazim adalah antara satu dalam beribu ribu malah berjuta juta kanak-kanak yang memerlukan perhatian kita.

Projek saya dan rakan-rakan semakin mendapat perhatian ramai pihak. Oleh itu, saya dengan rasa rendah diri memohon, sekiranya ada di antara anda di luar sana mengetahui pihak, iaitu kanak-kanak yang perlu dibantu, harap dapat hubungi saya.

Mungkin kami hanya dapat menghulurkan bantuan yang hanya sekecil kuman.. tapi.. jika itu yang dapat memberikan mereka tersenyum, why not ? (^-^ )

Tiada janji dari pihak kami, tapi.. kami berdoa agar Allah mempermudahkan usaha kami dalam menggembirakan hati mereka yang memerlukan.. insyaAllah..

Cinderella Day Out

As we are in our 13th day of Ramadhan, I have just kicked off the Cinderella Day Out. It is a simple Programme.. to bring the 4 children of a breast cancer ( stage 4 ) patient to buy new clothes for the Eid.

For little kids, to get a new pair of clothes for the Eid is like a princess going to a ball ( hey.. adults too right ?;) ) Anyway.. the plan is to get a new pair of baju kurung each. I remain with my principle that, no matter how difficult things are, children have the right to be happy, to enjoy their childhood and we, the adults can help to improve things, of course..with Allah's permission definitely.

The mother continues with her treatment at HKL. Her story is one of the many story that we might have seen on Oprah shows.. of a mother trying her best to raise her daughters. She wanted to work, but her cancer becomes aggressive everyday.

All praise to the Almighty, I received a total of RM650 to but baju kurung & new shoes for the 4 little girls.

Shopping Day : InsyaAllah, 13th September 2009. ( depending on the mother's health )

Semalam saya bercakap panjang dengan seorang sahabat yang sentiasa memberi sokongan pada program yang saya lakukan dengan kanak-kanak kanser. Tetiba, dia berkata.." Ramai tanya hal Adik Hazim.. apa khabar dia? " Maaf sangat.. saya dah lama tak update.. tapi ini kisah terkini ..

Hari ini, Adik Hazim memulakan rawatan radioterapi nya di PPUKM jam 9.30 pagi tadi. Rawatannya adalah sebanyak 15 kali. Dia ditemani oleh ibunya. Dari kali pertama saya berjumpanya pada Januari lalu, dibandingkan sekarang, Adik Hazim semakin positif dalam menjalani kehidupan seharian. Ini diakui oleh sahabat saya yang turut membantu memberikan rawatan padanya. Bukan itu sahaja, syukur Alhamdulillah, ibu dan bapanya semakin positif serta yakin dalam menyelesaikan segala isu, baik dari segi kesihatan anaknya mahupun dalam menyelesaikan hal hal kewangan yang pastinya masih agak berat.

Segala bil yang tertunggak sudah dijelaskan serta telah mendapat perhatian pihak yang berkenaan.

Saya mengambil kesempatan mengucapkan terima kasih pada semua yang membantu dari segala segi, baik dari segi kewangan, sokongan moral dan yang penting sekali, doa pada yang Maha Esa. Ibu Hazim meminta saya menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih yang tidak terhingga dari dia dan keluarga.

Hanya Allah yang mampu membalas jasa baik anda semua. Saya doakan anda semua diberkati Allah sentiasa. Semoga Allah mengurangkan kesakitan Adik Hazim.

Syawal Note is another little project to uplift the spirit of the children at the ward. The project is simple..sending a care pack as well as a few Eid cards for the kids at oncology ward. Few public figure has been approached to get the cards signed by them. Who are they... hmm.. I keep it till the end to let you all know... praying hard that they will sign it..insyaAllah..

Preparations are on going.. insyaAllah ,the target date to deliver the items is either 12th or 13th September 2009.

The beneficiaries..again, the oncology ward of UMMC and PPUKM. Why these wards are getting it.. mainly due to the relationship that I have made with them. Therefore.. if there are anyone out there, especially doctors or just anyone who knows who I can approach, who think these little projects can give an impact to your patients, family members or friends..... kindly contact me yea. Seriously... I would like to expand it to others..

I will think of something to cheer the kids.. we can start it small... As I wrote before, there is no harm in having a dream.. as Allah will help to make it happen, insyAllah..

Being 12 Years Old...

Adik Hafiz is out from the ICU, after going through a difficult and painful moments. He is in so much pain, thus, he himself can control the amount of morphine to be injected to his body. I can't explain much on him.. as I have not spend much time with him yet. However, finally... he is no longer shy with me.. and wrote a list of things that he wish he could have. He is a nice, humble, shy 12 years old boy..

His wish is a list of PS2 games... the kids at the hospital really "ADORE" PS2, as they can't have a normal play time like other kids... but WAIT, most of the kids I know like play station, (err...adults too right ;)).. After all, they are CHILDREN, aren't they.. and u know what, I thank God he did not tell me to get rid of his chemo pod.. Adik Hazim did say that..

I am sharing his list with you.. should anyone feel like sending him that gift.. please let me know yea :)

Snowflakes

Snowflakes are beautiful. Every snowflakes are different as it comes in a variety of sizes and shapes. Subhanallah.. all praise to Him. As I remembered clearly, watching the snow falling from the sky brought me a feeling of calmness, tranquility and serenity.

So are we. We all are different. Gender, religion, race, backgrounds, beliefs.. to name it a lot. When I decided to concentrate on making programmes for the children who I believe should be given chance to laugh, have fun and smile , never that I thought I would meet so many wonderful people who I would say... just like the snowflakes.. unique, beautiful and full of love.

Allah SWT has been blessing me with so many surprises.. Alhamdulillah..

Will post on new projects coming soon.. "Syawal Note", " Cinderella Day Out" and " You are in Our Mind".

All are little projects that hope would bring smile, laughter and boost the positive thinking in the children.. Ramadhan Kareem :)

Last Sunday, I went to visit Adik Hazim at his home. Alhamdulillah.. he looks fine, and smiling all the way. The siblings are fine too... in fact, they were teasing each other. The mother asked them to behave as I was around.. but then, kids being kids... quarelling, fighting and teasing are NORMAL. That is what I have wished for.. for Adik Hazim to have a normal life. Despite of being sick, and financially challenged, I wish these children can have a normal life. Normal life is not a perfect life... we are just human, ain't perfect at all. But to have a normal life is something that everyone would wish for.

Seeing them laughing, smiling, talking, and in fact quarelling, makes me realized that I can move on to the other children. I will always keep in touch with Adik Hazim and his family, as they have a special place in my heart.

I do have 2 other projects in mind.. guess I keep on having new projects :p I am already in discussion for " Syawal Note". Will post some details on that.

Another project is called " Cinderella Day Out ". Based on the original story, it was about Cinderella, wanted to go to the ball but did not have a proper clothes. And suddenly... puff ! Wishes came true

Care Bears

Does anyone remembers "Care Bears " ? That is one of my favourite cartoons during my childhood days. Still love it though ;) " Care Bears " are a group of sweet, cute bears that have their own super power and speciality, that will always come together in times of hardship, spray out their power that turns into a rainbow. Difficult to explain.. hehe, but those who have watched " Care Bears" would know what it is.

You know what.. I have CARE BEARS too :) Everyday, there will be a new "Care Bear" extending their support, strength and love to every project that I am doing. Some of them are people that I have known all my life and..some are those who I have not even met yet! SUBHANALLAH... All praise to Him. I believe behind every obstacle, there will be a beautiful rainbow. True enough .. it is always there, just keep on having faith in Him.

"Serunding Drive" is on the right track. Delivery will be on the 1st Ramadhan 1430 / 22nd August 2009. The beneficiaries are the Children Oncology Ward of PPUKM and UMMC.

My friend asked me.. " what is that ? "

Here it goes.. as ward visit has to be postponed due to the H1N1 pandemic, I want the kids and families know that, they are in our mind.

As we are nearing Ramadhan, giving serunding is a splendid idea. I plan to deliver a packet of serunding, together with some dates as well as a book/sticker/stationery for the kids. Oh yes, it will be chicken floss ( Serunding ayam ) .. so that everyone can eat :)

Hospital food are not that bad nowadays, but if there is an extra dish, I think that would be great. My target is to deliver this to Children Oncology ward at UMMC & PPUKM.

My aunty used to say.. it's not how expensive your gift is, it's the thought that counts..

For the note,while I am writing this.. a lot of friends have agreed to help. Subhanallah

Wishing Well Weekend

That was the quote I wrote in the certificate that was given to those who participated in Hazim's Family Day. Simple , sweet and yet very touching.. at least to me :)

Alhamdulillah, all praise to the Almighty, the event went well. The purpose was very simple, to fulfill Adik Hazim's wish to go to the waterfall. As I wrote earlier in this blog, I am a person who believes, every child has the right to have a happy and enjoyable life despite of anything. Happiness is a thing that can not be measured. InsyaAllah, I really hoped that Adik Hazim & his family really enjoyed the camping trip that we had last weekend to Lata Berembun, Bentong, Pahang.

The camping trip was an event full of love and care. Those who participated were actually given a last minute notice. My apologies, but making programme with a childhood cancer patient, all decisions can only be finalised depending on his health condition. Regardless the last minute notice, everyone were great. I really LOVE all of you. May Allah bless you.

A friend flown in from Bangkok, a childhood friend who volunteered to be a photographer, Redah 4x4 that I have not known earlier.. and of course this would not have happened if a dear friend of mine did not call me up on that particular night, asking me to write a letter to Redah 4x4. Syukur Alhamdulillah, all went well.

Adik Hazim said "sekali sekala macam ni seronok" , enjoying every moment with his family and friends ( new friends I woud say ). We went to waterfall, played Saidina and UNO, had bar-b-que and the most of all... we had FUN!!

My hope is, Adik Hazim and his family managed to leave behind their worriness, their fear and their sadness during this trip. Nothing more I wished for except to see them laugh and smile. I believe my wishes came true. I saw them laugh. In fact, Adik Hazim was with me most of the time, and Allah gave me a precious gift.. seeing Adik Hazim laughing and giggling. Sweet :)

His fight against Hodgkin Lymphoma continues. He will undergo a Radiotherapy session, most probably in September.

To Redah 4x4, you guys are GREAT, FUNNY and I definitely will look for you again. To my 3 dear friends, I love you and thank you for supporting me.

To others who endlessly giving me support, you are superb.

Choosing the right word

I am very thankful that Allah always help me in any programme that I have planned for the children. When we were planning for the camping to fulfill Adik Hazim's wish, I was very confident in saying "jangan risau lah.. nanti adalah duit tu " Tell the truth, I have not collected any single cent from anyone until I received a sms few days ago from someone who has been very generous to sponsor the trip. Subhanallah..

I've been with Adik Hazim and his family for 8 months now. From time to time,I will ask the nurses at the hospital if there are any other kids who need my attention ( meaning.. they are in serious condition ) The nurses asked me to concentrate on 2 children, Hazim and another girl, Afifah.

Today.. another task was given to me by the Almighty.I take it that way.. as everything happens with His permission. I received a phone call... asking me to explain to Adik Hazim what death is. It seems, they met up for dinner yesterday,Adik Hazim and a group of my friends. Adik Hazim asked.." is it painful when we die..."

That is my task to explain to him.. may Allah help me in delivering this task..

I hope he will enjoy the trip tomorrow.. and hope that his mom & siblings will remember this forever,insyaAllah..

I seriously hope and pray that he will recover... at the same time, i will be there for him, helping him to understand that from Allah we come, to Allah we will go back..
